On March 2nd 2017, Norwegian post rock outfit 1099 will travel to China to perform in 9 cities over 11 days - starting in Beijing and coming to an end in Hong Kong March 13th. With five musicians on stage - and a wide range of distortion, delay and reverb effects - the audience at the shows can expect a majestic, loud, but also atmospheric and dynamic show. Beautiful melodies and immaculate musicianship are key ingredients on this journey of glacial post rock. The band members see this as a highlight of their career - they cannot wait to perform for the Chinese audience, and absorb the culture, landscape and cuisine. 1099 has existed for almost 15 years, and the lineup is Pål Leer on drums and Lars-Erik Berg on bass guitar, guitarist Anders Kalland and Kristian Krokfoss on guitar and keyboards. Jørund Waagø will join the band on tour and the forthcoming recording sessions - playing double duty on the guitar and the electric piano. 1099 released two EPs in the late part of the 2000s before their debut album, the self-titled «1099», arrived in February 2013, both digital and on vinyl. 1099`s second album «Young Pines» was released digitally and on vinyl in 2015. *E-TICKETS COMING SOON |
